Toller Laden, netter Chef der viel erzählen kann. Gute Weine im hinteren Teil des Ladens - empfehle den Syrah. Gute Sofas, ich liebäugle noch mit einem Zweisitzer.
Ja, die Weine sind wirklich gut. Und ich habe mir ein paar Bilderrahmen geholt. Der Witz ist, die Werbebilder im Rahmen waren so gut, dass ich sie gar nicht mit eigenen ersetzt habe. Der Chef ist wirklich nett.
South Africa is one of the most impressive countries on earth… Its striking beauty, from lonely beaches through vast open spaces to snow capped mountains is as awe inspiring for visitors as its diversity of cultures, people and languages. It is this diversity that makes South Africa so special.
Having grown up in South Africa we were afraid that we would long for the colourful cheerfulness and the ever present creativity that South Africa has to offer.
With a wide range of contemporary African design we intend to convey what modern South Africa feels like. Some products are made from recycled raw materials, some are variants of traditional art forms, and others are simply solidly made crafts in modern designs. They all originate from renowned contemporary South African artists as well as from projects that have taken on social responsibility in South Africa in various ways: by creating job opportunities, by teaching or passing on the technique of a certain craft and by supporting their staff in medical issues.
In a country whose unemployment rate is unofficially close to 40% and whose population is weakened by a shockingly high HIV rate, these projects help others to help themselves. The greatest proportion of the beneficiaries are women, as they are the key to prosperity, education and stability within the family.
South Africa has been through a lot, but the exuberance and imagination of its people and their devotion to life is unbroken. You shall see!
